Dexter 3rd Season nearly Official

Before it's even premiered in Australia, serial killer drama Dexter seems set to earn a third season.
E! Online blogger Kristin Veitch reports that one of her correspondents attended a recent event hosted by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences celebrating Dexter, which is up to its second season in the US.
When the cast and crew at the event were asked if the series would be back for a third season, they turned to Showtime president Robert Greenblatt, who was present in the audience, for an answer.
"Greenblatt, bless him, immediately shouted his response with absolutely no hesitation and lots of enthusiasm: 'Yes!'," according to Veitch's post.
Dexter's lead actor Michael C Hall jetted into Australia in October to promote the series. When asked whether he knew if a third season was in the pipeline, he indicated he would be surprised if it wasn't renewed.
Hall plays Dexter Morgan, a forensic technician who's secretly a serial killer. The show's mix of drama, wit and horror have made it a hit in the US with both audiences and critics.
