Poborsky agrees deal

Czech star Karel Poborsky has ended speculation about his future by signing a new deal with Sparta Prague.
The likes of Portsmouth and Levante had been linked with shock swoops, but Poborsky has now opted to stay in the Czech capital with Sparta.

Poborsky has agreed an initial one-year extension, but that could be extended further.

The former Manchester United star was in superb form for his country during Euro 2004 and that led to renewed speculation about his future.

Sparta, who finished second in the Czech league to Banik Ostrava last season, were keen to keep Poborsky as they look to make a renewed impact on the UEFA Champions League next season.
