AS Roma know they must spend this season attempting to secure striker Antonio Cassano to a new contract.
The Italy international's current deal expires in 2006 and he has already refused to discuss new terms when approached at the end of the season.
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani sat with Roma director general Franco Baldini at Italy's 1-1 draw with Sweden last week in a game in which Cassano dominated.
But it isn't just Milan which are tracking the young striker. Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is a long-time admirer, while free-spending Chelsea are sure to test Roma's resolve over the next 12 months |
