Chelsea's Abramovich in talks with AC Milan, Inter

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was in Milan yesterday for talkswith both Inter and AC Milan.
The Russian tycoon sent the local media into a frenzy as he spent the morning with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and his offsiders and then the afternoon with the Inter hierarchy.

Abramovich's personal visit was to open serious talks about several transfer targets and in the process cutting out the need for intermediary agents.

Though Andrei Shevchenko signed a new contract extension (to 2009) with Milan this week, the Ukrainian's name was on the agenda, along with teammates Kaka and Alessandro Nesta.

Milan also asked after Chelsea pair Frank Lampard and Carlo Cudicini during the informal meeting.

At Inter, Abramovich was keen to discover the latest on Christian Vieri's situation and also the availability of Fabio Cannavaro and Obefami Martins.
