England Squad For Euro 2004



05/17/2004. England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has named his 23-man squad for next months European Championships in Portugal.

The Swede has sprung no major suprises with the majority of the squad already well known.

The defence includes Ledley King and Jamie Carragher ahead of the likes of Danny Mills and Wes Brown.

While Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe misses out as attacking midfielder Kieron Dyer and Darrius Vassell are both included.

Goalkeepers:

David James, Paul Robinson, Ian Walker

Defenders:

Wayne Bridge, Sol Campbell, Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Ledley King, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, John Terry.

Midfielders:

David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Joe Cole, Kieron Dyer, Stephen Gerrard, Owen Hargreaves, Frank Lampard, Paul Scholes

Forwards:

Emile Heskey, Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney, Darius Vassell.
