this is the best thing i found about the history of al hilal
Hilal Club
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In 1377H Shabab sport club was divided into two parts. As a result of this division two teams came into being: Shabab team and Olymbi team which was headed by Abdulrahman bin Saeed the club’s chief at that time. But King Saud had issued an order to change the name of“Al-Olymbi“and substitute it by Arabic name. Therefore the club’s members suggested the three following names:
Al-Yamamah, Al-Wehdah and Al-Hilal. All three names were reported to HM the King. The first champion in whichHilal club participated was in 1380H when the ministry of education organized the first championship in the central area after the sport supervision responsibilities was assigned to ministry of education. But Hilal was about to win that champion unless the other teams objected for participation of five foreign players with Hilal team in that champion.
In 1383H Hilal succeeded in winning the championship of the central eastern area but it lost the champion of the Kingdom after losing the match against Al- Etihad 3-0. In the next year Hilal were the champions of the two areas as well as the champions of the Kingdom.
Sport Installation
The center of Hilal team from which it started the march of championships in 1377H was just a house made of clay and wood and consisted of three rooms only. But at the present time Hilal possesses modern sport compound consisting of several playgrounds for different sort of sports such as prince Sulman stadium, Radeef football playground, track and field, swimming pool, closed playing hall, tennis hall, squash, external playgrounds in addition to other facilities.
