this is about al hilal vs. Al shabab. (final) league

A 57th minute free-kick from Brazilian midfielder Camacho was enough to see Al Hilal defeat Al
Shabab 1-0 and claim the Saudi Arabian championship title for the tenth time and complete a league and cup double.

Al Shabab, who were the defending champions and topped the league standings at the end of the regular season, had the best of the opening exchanges and the Al Hilal defence had to be alert to deny Senegalese striker Richard Manga on three occasions in the first 20 minutes.

Al Hilal made their Riyadh rivals pay for their profligacy 12 minute after the restart when Camacho – formerly with Rio-based outfit Botafogo – swept a free-kick over the Al Shabab wall and into the back of the net.

This was the second successive match-winning free-kick scored by the Brazilian having previously netted the only goal of the game against third-place Al Ittihad, which sent Al Hilal through to the championship play-off with Al Shabab.

Al Hilal, coached by Marcos Paquetá who led his native Brazil to glory in the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship in the UAE, had already booked their place in next year’s AFC Champions League after winning the Crown Prince Cup.

Saudi Arabia’s second place in the Champions League is yet to be determined but could go to Al Shabab or Al Qadisiya, who Al Hilal defeated 2-1 to claim their fifth Crown Prince Cup.
