LONDON: AFC Player of the Year 2007 Yasser Al Qahtani has been handed a trial by English Premier League side Manchester City at the club’s Carrington Training Centre.

"I'm now in England after I got an invitation letter from Manchester City," the 25-year-old Saudi Arabia captain was quoted as saying in the club’s official website.

"I'm glad to train with such a good club in England and I will try my best to prove that Saudi players are good players," the Al Hilal forward said.

Al Qahtani helped Saudi Arabia reach the final of the AFC Asian Cup 2007™ and also finished as the joint top goalscorer of the showpiece Asian event.

Manchester City recently signed Three Thailand players – Suree Sukha, Kiatprawut Saiwaew and Teerasil Dangda.

"انا مسرور لتدريب جيد مع هذا النادي في انكلترا وسأحاول جهدي لاثبات ان السعودية واللاعبون هم اللاعبين جيدة ،" الجامعة العربية الى الامام وقال هلال.

القحطاني ساعدت السعودية تصل الى النهائي من كأس اسيا 2007 ™ وايضا كما انتهى المشتركة العليا goalscorer من النموذج الرائع الاسيويه الحدث.
