خسر المنتخب السعودى للناشئين أمام كوريا الجنوبية بهدف وحيد ، وذلك فى نهاية الجولة الثالثة من البطولة الأسيوية للناشئين.

وبذلك يتأهل كوريا الجنوبية واليابان إلى دور ربع النهائى ، وخروج السعودية وكوريا الشمالية من البطولة ، وفى حال تخطى المنتخبات الأسيوية دور نصف النهائى يؤهل مباشرة إلى نهائيات كأس العالم للناشئين.

إقتباس Tehran: A solitary goal from Jeong Hunu sealed Korea Republic’s third win in the AFC U-16 Championship 2012 in as many matches as they topped the Group C with a 1-0 victory over Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Ahead of their crucial Sunday’s quarter-final clash against Uzbekistan, Korea Republic coach Choi Moon-sik opted to give exposures to his untested players as 10 players who started the Japan match from bench on Tuesday were given a run in with only captain Hwang Ki Wook making it in the starting line-up. Saudi Arabia, who despite losing both the matches and being eliminated before playing their last match, looked more hungry in the beginning on Thursday afternoon. Korea goalkeeper Park Cheolung fumbled to collect a weak shot under the pressure from Saudi forward Abdulaziz Hazazi but he recovered in time to punch the ball for corner in the 12th minute. Cheolung was called in action again in the 25th minute and this time he performed an acrobatic save to deny Abdulrahman Bin Khayrallah’s powerful strike. With one eye on the FIFA U-17 World Cup qualifications, the Koreans were just happy defending and breaking the Saudis’ move in the dead rubber encounter as their first chance in the match came in the 40th minute when Yongho Yoon rattled the side bar and the ball came back to play but did not find any Korean players. The second-half begun with Saudi taking more adventurous routes but resolute Korean defenders were not allowing any space for the Saudi attackers. In one of their very few convincing moves of the match, Korea Republic finally broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute when Lim Eunsu fired a powerful drive from point blank range and Saudi goalie Abu Milhah put his body on the shot but the deflection found midfielder Hunu who slotted home the winner. Saudi came close to find the equalizer but Bhalid Shuwayyi’s fierce shot in the 71st minute was saved brilliantly by acrobatic Cheolung.
