U.S. CONSULATE IN DHAHRAN TO OPEN FULL VISA SERVICES

Dear Members,

The U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) would like to inform you that the U.S. Consulate in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, will open for full non-immigrant visa services starting May 3, 2008. Ford M. Fraker, U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, made the announcement during a U.S. President’s Day reception on February 18 and indicated that the measure aims at facilitating business and tourism, as well as allowing a greater number of Saudi students to study in the U.S. John Kincannon, U.S. Consul General in Dhahran, also announced that two staff members have been added to the consular section to manage and expedite visa services.

To apply for a U.S. visa in Dhahran to visit, study, or conduct business, Saudi citizens must first complete an application and then request an interview appointment. Visa interview appointments will become available once full visa services open and will run from 8:30AM until 11:00AM on Saturdays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. The application and interview appointment selection can be completed online by visiting the Consulate General Dhahran website at http://dhahran.usconsulate.gov.
