Liverpool's Academy starlets take a break from the FA Youth Cup when they entertain Newcastle United in a league match in Kirkby on Saturday at 12 noon.
John Owens under-18 team haven't played a league match since the end of March when they lost 1-0 at Sheffield United.
They travel to Old Trafford the second leg of their FA Youth Cup Final with Manchester United on Thursday hoping to come back from a 2-1 defecit and Owens is expected to rest a few of the key players for today's match with Newcastle.
Owens will take the opportunity to give more of his squad players a game.
Kick-off is at 12 noon at the Kirkby Academy. Liverpool's under-18 side beat Newcastle recently in the FA Youth Cup semi-final, 7-3 on aggregate over two legs.
