Mourinho Admits: It Is Chelsea (Sky Sports)
Chelsea FC
Successful Porto coach Jose Mourinho has finally admitted that his next destination is poised to be Chelsea.
The Portuguese boss, who steered his side to UEFA Champions League glory on Wednesday, has confirmed the worst kept secret in football, even though Claudio Ranieri is still in charge at Stamford Bridge.
"I have some offers in my wallet but one which I very much want to accept, which is that from Chelsea," he told Portuguese channel Sport TV.
While Porto celebrate a famous 3-0 triumph over Monaco in Gelsenkirchen, their highly-rated manager is awaiting talks with his agent that will bring the move to Chelsea even closer.
Blues chief executive Peter Kenyon was in attendance at AufSchalke Arena but refused to comment on Mourinho's likely appointment or Ranieri's future, which has been the subject of media speculation for months.
Mourinho actually has two years left on his contract with the European Cup winners but, despite rumoured interest from Liverpool, his heart seems set on managing Roman Abramovich's millions in West London.

Chelsea talks for Mourinho
Chelsea are expected to confirm Porto boss Jose Mourinho as their new manager on Tuesday, BBC Sport has learned.
Mourinho was expected in London for talks with Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon over the weekend.
And Mourinho is said to have already told Porto he intends to take over at Stamford Bridge if he is happy with the terms of his contract.
The Blues have yet to make an official announcement about the future of current boss Claudio Ranieri.
Mourinho, who led Porto to European Cup success against Monaco on Wednesday, told Portuguese cable channel Sport TV on Thursday: "I would really like to accept Chelsea's invitation.
"It will be decided in the next few days when I tell Porto's management of my intentions but the two clubs have talked."
And it is believed that the 41-year-old wants the contract with Chelsea to be completed as soon as possible in case there is a backlash from Porto fans.
But although the financial terms are not an issue, Mourinho will not rush into signing until he receives assurances from Blues owner Roman Abramovich that he will be in sole charge of team affairs. He earlier said: "One club had a serious conversation with my agent and a small conversation with me. I have given my word to them and I will not change my mind.
"My agent was involved in a few conversations. I want everything to be done right.
"I will speak to the Porto president and I hope he respects my wish to leave.
"There is one club I give my word to and one I would like to go to and this won't change even if I get other situations because we have won the Champions League."
Ranieri held a meeting with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and chief executive Peter Kenyon at a hotel in Milan, Italy, on Thursday. The meeting ended after two hours and a smiling Ranieri left the hotel with his agent Vicenzo Morabito but did not comment to waiting journalists.
It seems certain now that the Italian will give way to Mourinho as coach - with Ranieri either leaving altogether or moving into a director of football role.
Kenyon said on Wednesday "the situation should be resolved next week".
Meanwhile Mourinho will leave Porto in the knowledge he made them the first club since Liverpool in 1976 and 1977 to win the Uefa Cup and European Cup in successive years.
The Portuguese club reportedly want Chievo coach Luigi Del Neri to take over from Mourinho.
And Del Neri told Portugal's Radio Renascenca: "Yes, they have contacted my agent and there is a possibility of being coach of Porto.
"Porto are a beautiful team that anyone would want to coach."
