MILAN - "I saw a nice Inter. We were very aggressive and we always
tried to pass the ball," said Cristiano Zanetti about Inter's Tim Cup victory over Bologna . "It was an excellent match; we let in a goal due to a moment's distraction then we recovered well and didn't have any problems.
"We wanted to win and we gave everything. We especially wanted to end this run of draws. Now we have two difficult matches ahead of us and we want to do well in both of them."
MILAN - Inter president Giacinto Facchetti expressed his satisfaction after the 3-1 win over Bologna , but immediately turned his attention the Nerazzurri's upcoming European and Serie A fixtures. He said, "The team played a nice match this evening and deserved to win. Now we'll start thinking about the next two important matches ahead of us: the game against Werder Bremen and then Inter v Juventus.
"The match against Werder is fundamental because a victory would keep us first in the Champions League group. Then there's Juventus and we all know how much that game counts for."
Facchetti also remarked on Francesco Coco's return to competitive action: "It's important to have recovered a player like him. Let's hope what kept him out of action for twelve months is over."
MILAN - "We played a good match. Despite falling behind, we reacted well and built on our lead," said Francesco Coco to Rai after the 3-1 cup win at home to Bologna .
"I'm pleased, I played ninety minutes and felt lots of positive feelings. But I'm a bit tired now," said Coco about his return to competitive action after a long time out through injury.
Coco, captain for the evening, concluded with a few remarks on the new Inter: "We have changed a lot this year and it was normal to have a few problems. But I've found that this Inter has clearer ideas and we will certainly soon put together a series of victories in the championship."
MILAN - "It was an important match. It was fundamental for us to play a good match and we deserved the victory," said a satisfied Roberto Mancini after the Tim Cup last sixteen first leg win at home to the Rossoblu.
" Bologna scored from their only chance. We have to continue playing like we know how and continue working hard. The results will come. We must always believe in the work we do, even when things aren't going well."
On Francesco Coco's return to competitive action after a year out, Mancini said: "I'm pleased for Francesco. He's gaining match fitness. He was back after a year out and it was important that he did well and didn't have any problems. If he continues to make progress he could become very important for us. He wore the captain's armband today because his teammates wanted him to. It was a nice gesture on their part."
Mancini concluded with a few words about three other Nerazzurri: "van der Meyde and Karagounis also did very well today. And I'm pleased for Vieri, who scored a very nice goal and moved very well."
من كلام مانشيني: كانت مباراه مهمه, سجل بولونيا هدف من فرصه وحيده, يجب ان نستمر في العمل بشكل جيد والنتائج سوف تأتي,لابد من الايمان بالعمل الذي نقوم به.
وتحدث عن عوده كوكو: مهم عوده اللاعب لياقيا بعد توقف موسم كامل , وهو لايعاني ايه مشاكل واذا استمر في التمارين سوف يكون مهم بالنسبه لنا في التشكيله, وعن اشاره الكبتنيه قال مانشيني ان اعضاء الفريق ارادوا له ذلك تكريما له
