  Word Football Gala 2010 in London by IFFHS / Matchworld Football The former FIFA General Secretary Michel Zen Ruffinen is the responsible organizer of the World Football Gala The World Football Gala will take place at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in London (Fulham) on Monday, February 1st, 2010. The club of the century for each of six continents and the winners of the annual world votings and world rankings of the IFFHS will be honoured at this Gala. All of the organization of the World Football Gala, including sponsoring, marketing and care of media, will be done by the Matchworld Football company which is based in Lausanne (Switzerland).

The continental clubs of the century will each receive a golden trophy and a certificate, similarly the victors for the year 2009 will be awarded a golden trophy, and the most effective league scorer a silver trophy. The trophies will be handed over by world-famous footballers. Also a number of captains of national teams which have qualified for the World Cup 2010 will be present as well as former stars and known personalities. All invitations will be issued by the IFFHS President Dr. Alfredo Pöge in the coming days, as soon as all the result are known. IFFHS / Matchworld Football Voting procedure and determining the world's best The procedure and some points on determining of The strongest National League in the World and the Club World Ranking can be found in the respective sections on this website.
In determining The World's Top Goal Scorer (World Goalgetter) only goals are considered which a player scored for the national team or club from January 1 to December 31: all full "A" internationals as well as all continental and intercontinental club competitions held by FIFA and its six continental Confederations (AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, OFC, UEFA). The number of goals being equal, players who scored more full "A" international goals are ranked higher.
The World's best Top Division Goal Scorer will come from the world's 60 top leagues, as determined by IFFHS during the previous year. The season must end during the evaluation year (e.g., the 2008/09 season and the 2009 season constitute the evaluation year 2009). Special criteria are used for players who transfer into another seasonal rhythm. The number of goals being equal, players who played fewer league matches are ranked higher.
Since the number of league matches differs from one country to another, The World‘s most effective Top Division Goal Scorer is also honoured, although he must have scored at least 20 goals. The most effective scorer is determined by dividing the number of goals by the number of league appearances. The player with the highest goal ratio is the winner.
All other categories (The World's best Referee, The World's best Goalkeeper, The World's best Playmaker, The World's best National Coach, The World's best Club Coach) are determined by vote, where each country has one vote except for the biggest football nations, which have two. Each casts a vote for rank 1-4 (4, 3, 2 resp. 1 point), the ranking for each category then being determined by addition. When publishing the various rankings, players with less than five points are not shown to keep countries with a single representative from being included in the list. Furthermore, in order to be shown, a player must have received votes from two or more countries.
Only the two coach categories have lists of candidates, where two candidates must be picked from each. The jurors are selected editorial staffs from the print media, radio, TV, Internet, sport/news agencies, national history & statistics associations. من جانبه، أكد السويسري ميشال زن روفينن الأمين العام للاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا» السابق، ورئيس اللجنة العليا المنظمة للحفل «جالا» أن الدعوة ستصل لممثلي كل الأندية الفائزة بلقب القرن في قاراتها لحضور المناسبة الكبيرة في القريب العاجل، والفائزين في المسابقات والتصنيفات العالمية التي أقامها الاتحاد في الفترات الماضية لعام 2009».
وطلب ميشال زن روفينن من أي جهة إعلامية ترغب في تغطية المناسبة مخاطبة اتحاده، مضيفا «ستحصل الأندية الفائزة على نادي القرن في العالم على وثيقة نادي القرن والجائزة الذهبية».
وكشف رئيس اللجنة العليا أن عددا من لاعبي كرة القدم المشاهير سيشاركون في تسليم الجوائز، وقال «سيكون منهم عدد من قائدي المنتخبات التي وصلت لنهائيات كأس العالم 2010 في جنوب إفريقيا».
