Chelsea ready to match Barcelona's £60M Ronaldinho fee

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to meet Ronaldinho's buyout clause at Barcelona - to the tune of £60 million.
The Sunday Mirror says Abramovich won't baulk at paying the mega fee to bring the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge over the summer.
Ronaldinho is currently in Brazil, but was in constant contact with Chelsea officials everyday last week. Blues representatives were sounding out the attacking midfielder about whether he was prepared to move to London next season.
Ronaldinho's brother and agent, Roberto Assis, has offered to renegotiate the player's buyout clause with Barca. But the Spanish giants are reluctant, as it will also mean bumping up his current salary.
Barca are now bracing themselves for a world record bid from Chelsea for Ronaldinho - which is sure to shake-up the club after an impressive second-half of last season.
The Catalans are also struggling in talks with Edgar Davids over a permanent deal and if they were to lose both the Dutchman and Ronaldinho during the summer, pressure from supporters would be heaped on president Joan Laporta's management.
